Author Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically on our website. Please note that ER&D Journal uses a blind review process; therefore, writers MUST exclude authors’ names, institutions, and clues to the authors’ identities that exist within the manuscript.
The fit of a manuscript for publication in ER&D Journal is carefully reviewed based on each item listed below.
- Significance/relevance to education and/or development
- Connections to relevant literature and/or conceptual framework
- Methods
- Appropriateness to research questions
- Adequate description of methods (including data collection and analysis)
- Rigor of methods
- Findings/conclusions are literature or data-based
- Overall contribution to the field
- Writing style/composition/clarity
Typing. The acceptable format for electronic submission is MSWord. All text, including title, headings, references, quotations, figure captions, and tables, must be typed, double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, with one-inch margins on all sides.
Length. A manuscript, including all references, tables, and figures, should not exceed 8,000 words. Submissions exceeding this limit may not be accepted for review. Authors should keep tables and figures to a minimum and include them at the end of the text.
Style. For writing and editorial style, authors must follow guidelines in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition, 2009).
Abstract and keywords. All manuscripts must include an abstract and a few keywords. Abstracts should be a concise summary of the key points of your research and must be 250 words or less.
Article-Processing Charge. ?No article-processing charge (APC) is required of authors.
